This vast metropolis, perched at an altitude of more than 2,000 meters, was built in 1326 by the Aztecs and it was subjugated by Spanish conquistadors in 1519. With its contradictions, wealth and poverty standing shoulder to shoulder, with Frida Cahlo and her paintings, its Spanish legacy and the impassioned singing of the Mariachi, it is a city you’ll never forget.

In Mexico you’ll get a feel for the Mayan Civilization in places such as Chichen-Itza, Merida, Uxmal and Palenque. You’ll enjoy white sand and topaz waters in Cancun beaches. You will go snorkeling in the reefs of Cozumel, but most of all, you will feel the distinctive energy of a land that is an ancient mixture of civilizations with vivid legends and traditions.
